Jay Schwarzenegger arrested as one of the suspects in San Jose National High school shooting in Tacloban

 


Police authorities said the suspects, both Grade 9 students of the school, allegedly posted photos holding firearms on social media before the attack, with one arrested inside the campus and the other captured during a hot pursuit operation.

Two minor suspects, aged 15 and 14, have been arrested in connection with the shooting incident at San Jose National High School Tacloban city on Monday, June 22, 2026, which left four students dead and five others injured.

The suspected gunman is a 15-year-old son of a soldier.

Three people were reported killed and five others injured in a shooting incident at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City on the morning of June 22, according to initial police reports.

Authorities said the suspected gunman, a 15-year-old Grade 9 student, has been arrested while another individual is still being sought as the investigation continues.
